Nissan Repair: crankshaft and vehicle speed sensors, vehicle speed sensors, crank angle sensor

Question
My 2003 Nissan Altima 2.5 stalls at idle and loses power during driving. It also does not want to start at times, only when warm. I had a local auto parts store diagnose, they came up with 2 codes. Crankshaft and Speed sensors. I have purchased the parts and a repair catalog however, the catalog is not decriptive enough. I cannot locate these sensors. Can you help?

Answer
Carlos,

The speed sensor goes into where the speedometer cable used to go on the transmission.  Look at the case, on the back, between the firewall and the transmission and look down.  You should see it by looking down from the drivers side by the master cylinder.  Straight down and you should see it on the transmission.

The crank  angle sensor is either on the timing cover or the bellhousing depending on your car.
