I had an exhaust leak where the A I R tube goes into the pump I think. I'm not a mechanic. Needless to say my nephew couldn't braise the copper into the nipple because of the two different metals. He cut the whole assembly out of the picture because we live in VA where they don't do emission tests. He capped off the air pump and cut the line. Can you tell me exactly what I need? I went under your site Exhaust:Catalytic Converter air tube. Is the air tube kit what I need? It seemed like this was a multi-part assembly. I know the man at the garage told me I need the A I R tube and the air valve. This assembly goes from the pump to the converter. I appreciate your help. 1982 Buick Riviera 4.1 liter 2 door 6 cylinder with front wheel drive. I can give the vin if needed. Thanks you. Evelyn

hi evelyn,very good info,i appriciate that.your mechanic is right you need an air tube and aair diverter valve. or you need a asperator tube.which goes from the converter to the exhaust manifold.if it is a metal tube it will be called a asperator tube.if you also need the other part it will be the the earlier mentioned .you see these aqre two different parts of the same system the part at the air pump and the metal part that goes to the converter.hope this helps please vote for me ty billymac

I AM SORRY I DON,T HAVE THOSE PART NUMBERS AVAIL TO ME.EED A ASPERATOR TUBE AND A DIVERTER VALVE ANY AUTO STORE WILL BE ABLE TO GET THESE JUST TELL THEM EXACTLY WHAT I SAID YOU WILL BE FINE.AND DEAR DON,T WORRY THIS WILL NOT HARM YOUR CAR JUST MAKE A LITTLE NOISE UNTIL YOU GET THE PARTS.TY BILLYMAC
