Pontiac Repair: Supercharger replacement, buick park ave, gasket remover

Hi, I have a 1992 Buick Park Ave Ultra. Engine 3800. I need to replace my supercharger. I have a chilton manual, but it doesn't include info on the supercharger. I need some directions so any instruction would be great. I do all my own auto repairs but never replaced a supercharger. Thanks in advance. Ed V

Hi Ed:
it's a pretty straight forward job. just unbolt it and and put the new one on. transfer all the pieces off the old one ont to the new one. You will need a new gasket between the lower intake and the super charger. also ther are a couple of water passage gaskets that go between the inatke and the super charger. get a can of gasket remover and spray it on the gasket on the intake and it will make removing the old gasket easier. that is the worst part of the whole job. good luck :)
