My 2000 carrera cabriolet top is not opening--last few times it needed a push, now only retracts about halfway.  How much would it cost to repair/replace motor to top?  Also AC probably only needs freon boost, but what range of cost am I looking at for AC repair?  Thank you!

For the convertible tops on a 996, we have seen some that need to have the hydraulic fluid topped off due to some seepage of the lines. What happens is the system runs out of fluid to move the actuators. There are also some sensors that fail usually at the front lock. I haven't even had to replace one of these motors yet so I couldn't get you a price. All of the parts would come from the dealer, so call there.

To only top off the ac, $80 - $150 max.
