RV Repair: Electric steps, purple wire, quickee

In a 1998 Gulf Stream 29' motorhome. The electric steps retract (when in the down swich off position)whenever the space heater or the water heater comes on. I have checked and cleaned the grounds on the step. Could it be the board in  the step or what? The brand is Quickee.

   The only thing I can think of to have you check is to see if the purple wire from the control box on your Kwikee step is hooked up to anything.  If it is then check the serial # on the control box.  If it is between 93822 and 103007 then it has been recalled and you will need to have it changed.  If the puple wire isn't hooked up to anything then the recall doesn't apply.  Kwikee can be reached at 1-800-736-9961.  I hope this helps and good luck.
