Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Lawn Chief Pulley, little groove, groove thing

Question
I own a lawn chief riding lawn mower. I am trying to make it faster because it doesn't have a mowing deck anymore and it is just used to ride around. I removed the pulley that is attached to the bottom of the engine and I want to install a bigger one that will increase the speed some. The pulley is 3 inches diameter and slides onto the driveshaft thing. the drive shaft is 1 inch diameter with a little groove thing 1/4 inch wide. My question is where do I buy pulleys that I can use, I have searched the internet for pulleys and replacement parts to no use? I want one about 4 or 5 inches in diameter.
Thanks

Hiya Joseph
You need to find an industrial supply center like "Motion Industries" or "Grainger".  These folks carry all makes and models of pulleys.  Just get one with a 1" bore aND A 1/4" keyway and it'll be great.  You probably want to go with a 6" diameter.  This will bump your speed to about 12-15mph top gear and you can make adjustments allowing you to use the original belt.
