Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Ryobi 700r pull start problem, dry cylinder, weedwacker

Question
John: My Ryobi 700r (weedwacker) suddenly got un-pullable, while trying to start from sitting all winter, felt like a compression buildup. I took out the plug and no relief. Took off the plastic housing and now looks like I'm getting in deeper than I am capable of going. Any thoughts? -they don't call me Duff for no reason! -duff

Answer
 Hello Duff:

If it felt like compression built up, then you may need a new Trimmer. It sounds like the Cylinder wall was Scratched from a dry Cylinder. This is a common problem with Trimmers. Put Oil in the Cylinder and Let Stand Overnite. Then try to start engine. If still no change then the engine is no good.  Hope this Helps.

 Good Luck

 Respectfully

 John
