Steering Column Repair: steering wheel colum, aero star, salvage yards

We have to replace the steering wheel column  of a 92 ford Aero star xl do you have to match the old one, with the new on? It is an automatic with the shift on the colum

The column you are installing needs to come form a 1992 or 1993 Aerostar only.  The only things you need to match are whether or not it has tilt wheel and/or speed control.  Otherwise any column shift Aerostar from those years will fit.
For used parts...Try this site.  You may be able to find what you need.
