I would like to convert the non-tilt column shift to appear as a floor shift column.  Can I change the portion of the column that has the shifter to one that does not.

This one is a little too old for me to know the answer.  You might want to try and repost this to another expert.
the newer vehicles (1976 and up) offered both floor and column shift and therefore different column jackets, but I'm not sure about the older ones and what parts are available.

For used parts...Try this site.  You may be able to find what you need.
