Hello again Pete,

How can I tell if the rack and pinion the dealer installed in my Honda Passport 1999 was replaced for real? I'm afraid they charged me for something they didn't do. Is there any way to track down the serial number on the rack? it was only after 20 000 miles when it broke down again.

this can be tracked if you have a receipt for the first time . have the rack checked threw the bill of sale it wont be easy . but with only that low of miles they should replace it free of charge they are low lifes. if you need more help on this you let me know i will help u in any way i can if you do not have a receipt have them go back in the compuiter at the dealer and then find out if that is a 36000 warnerty on ford parts and it shoud be . good luck and please let me know how you make out . and u do have a pretty name pete
