Towing Issues: parking lot, hot coffee, gun makers

Question
hi we share a parking lot with another business we have 8 spaces they have 8 all clearly marked. can we be held responsible for our customers parking in their spaces
thanks

Answer
if I understand this question, you want to know if you are responsible for anything happening to vehicles parked in "your half of the parking lot"

Sure you are, courts rule that way all the time.

Can you have them towed if they are not your customer, OH YEAH you can....

Can the person come back and sue you,  YUP as that is our rights in the US to be able to sue anyone for anything at anytime...

Think about the McDonalds hot coffee lawsuit... Bars getting sued because someone drank there and then wrecked... Gun makers getting sued for "BUILDING THE GUN"

Now depending on the City and State you will have certain laws to follow and as such you need to do the research if you are going to have vehicles towed so that you are legal and cut down on the possibility of lawsuits..
