Towing Issues: Car Damaged During Tow, Please Help, car dollies, tow truck driver

Question
Yesterday my 2006 Scion was towed out of a parking spot near my work in Aurora, Colorado. I retrieved my car from the tow truck driver from a parking lot across the street while he was waiting for another truck to take it to the impound lot.  My car had been towed from the rear using car dollies and now I have a huge gash in my rear bumper and a dent, both very obvious damage of the tow.  I got a quote to fix my car at $500.00 then I filed a police report and took pictures.  I am so upset about the damage to my car that previously had NO exterior or interior damage.  What are my rights and where should I go from here?  Please Help.  Thank You

Answer
Talk to the tow company management and owners about the damages, they should do something. But be aware that they might deny the responsibility and claim "pre existing damage"..

This will most likely take and end up either in your insurance companies hands or small claims court...

BUT document everything, keep all receipts and keep on digging at getting this resolved...

Good luck

Oh by the way, check out the link below for "recommended methods for towing your vehicle" you might have to enter your information on the car but it will show you what is recommended..
