do you have to be bonded to start a lien company? what type of license would i need to start a lien company?

that would depend on the laws of your state...

Reason being is if you did not do the liens properly and notify everyone legally you could be responsible for "damages" and other legal fees...

I would do a check for laws regarding this in your state. Also check with the state motor vehicles department as to any requirements.

Sorry for not providing much information but I know there are places where it is done but not sure how to start one in the many states we have.
