Towing Issues: towed from my appartment complex, tow truck drivers, small claims court

Question
My girlfriend's car was towed from a spot which she was allowed to park in at 6:00 PM.  The driver claims it was 5:54 when she parked there, she insists it was 6.  I was making dinner and remember my clock said 6:03 (only a 2 min. walk to my place). Regardless, they watched her walk away and proceeded to tow her car.  She couldn't afford to pay, so I did, and it was $275 to get the car back, less than 24 hours later.  Do I have a valid complaint to take them to small claims court?

Answer
in any of these towing issues you always have a reason to go to small claims court, whether or not you win is a totally different issue...

Now this question brings up on issue I really hate in the towing / impounding business... Authorized times for parking... The watch on the tow truck drivers arm, the time on the radio in the truck, the time on the cell phone the driver has, the time on the clock in the office, your clock time in the apartment, and so on "WILL NEVER MATCH"...

That said the 1 or 2 minute time differences or even 5 minutes does cause lots of problem in these cases...

Without an actual time stamped paper (think a time clock at work) you will have a huge uphill battle in fighting this issue...

Also, depending on the city and state, you might of had some other laws which would affect this issue, as some laws say that the vehicle has to be there for a certain period of time before they get towed...Other laws restrict or prohibit the "patrol - cruising" of parking lots... Others require that the apartment manager / owner or agent be there and sign the ticket for authorization to remove the vehicle...

So I can not really answer this question due to the many issues in it... But "Clock Time" to me seems to be the biggest issue here.  Sorry.
