Towing Issues: Fuel Mileage, fuel mileage, rv towing

Question
We live in Portland Oregon and we've a max weight 1500 lbs. Aliner camping
trailer and we don't want to pull it with a huge vehicle  and especially any that
get bad fuel mileage (25mpg and less for us).  

Is there a crossover or whatever vehicle out there that can tow our 1500 lbs
trailer that we can be assured will get 25 plus MPG (diesel or gas) towing the
trailer across the countryside?

this is out of my area of expertise as I really do not know that much about RV towing issues...  Sorry, but it will be a preference with the tow vehicle you pick. But what it gets before you tow a vehicle will be different MPG than with the trailer...
