Volkswagen Repair: Air conditioning, jetta tdi, pollen filter

Question
I have a 2003 jetta tdi and the ac just went out.  The fan runs on only the highest setting (4).  The rest of the levels i can hear something happening under the dash, but the fan never turns on and no air enters the cabin.  Cool air doesn't happen even when the fan turns on at the 4th setting.  Is this something I can fix?

Answer
My best advice in this case is to take the car to your local, best Volkswagen dealer, and have them diagnose your problem.  The air doors under the dash can only get blocked if there is an obstruction.  Have you had the "pollen filter" changed recently?  It's possible parts of the old one, or debris from the old one fell into the air distribution plenum.  You should have the pollen filter changed at the same time the diagnosis is done on the rest of the system.  This will help the air smell fresher inside the cabin.
Hope this is of some assistance.  I hesitate to recommend that you undertake a repair without an air conditioning certification.
