i have 1997 lesabre. alarm goes off for no reason. thus i do not set it when i am at home. i have noticed when cold, wet or windy it does go off more often. how do i find where the "short" is or how do i fix the problem

Hi,
First, locate the fuse for the alarm..(it should be in the black box under the hood) as a matter of course, replace the old one with a new one of the same amperage.
The moisture that is triggering the alarm is finding a place in the circuit where there is  some corrosion and setting it off.
Give me a bit and I will check into this farther, and do a follow up.My sources tell me your sensitivity is set too sensitive. check with your service dept to see if they can reset it for you. that should fix it.
