Dodge: 1999 dodge grand caravan alternator, dodge grand caravan, drive belt tensioner

Question
I'm looking to replace the drive belt tensioner on my 1999 dodge grand caravan, 3.3 litre engine, but must first remove the alternator to access the bolt holding the tensioner. How do I remove the alternator? It looks like I  must also depressurize the fuel system and remove the fuel rail. Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Vic

Answer
I have never done one of these myself but I have heard the easiest way to remove the alternator is to remove the exhaust manifold. It will cost ya $15 or so for a new manifold gasket but it is supposed to create enough room to be able to swap it without the hassle of removing the fuel rail.
