GM-GMC: 2003 GMC Envoy, phillips screws, gmc envoy

Question
I recently discovered that my 2003 GMC Envoy would not lock when I pressed the lock button on my key fob, this is the case for both my wife and I.  Also upon pulling the key out of the ignition the radio turns off, when before the radio would remain on until a door was opened.  I have replaced the batteries in each key fob and unhooked the battery to see if this might just reset something.  I have not been able to figure this out.  I would appreciate if I could get some insight into this before I have to go spend an arm and a leg on getting this repaired.  Thank!

Answer
Ok, You are correct the accessory usually stay on for a certain delay time normally 10 minutes ,If you sit in the vehicle with the key out . But if you open the door , the radio goes out . unless you put the key in and take it back out .

Try spraying some lubricant into the key slot .Use the straw on the lubricant . Lithium is better .. Use straw to get a better shot  into the key hole. Work the key in and out , ALOT ... see if the tumblers are stuck .. Over time they get use to the same thing over and over ... they get stiff ....
See if this helps with radio ?

Push Hard on the button ::: Just see if this works :
If not , sometimes by dis-connecting the battery , The computer needs to re-read the remote controls:
There are steps you have to take to re-set the remotes
You have to put the Key into the cylinder , then turn the key foward to access: then push the lock button : then press then unlock button : ...Then turn the key in the OFF position ..

Then the contact on the pads for the buttons get dirty . It is like a remote control for your TV . Although , you have me because normally only one would go bad at a time , not both at the same time,NORMALLY ??? You never know... You can take the battery out . take the small phillips screws out .. then take the rubber button pad out . Be careful ... use rubbing achohol to clean the pad on the little circuit board , This usually works !

Last but least :you have the remote unlock relay : these very rearly go bad . Let me know !!!
