Honda: 1991 Honda Accord, accord honda, transmission work

Question
Honda has been sitting for 2 years now because I don't have money to replace the transmission. Recently I was told to replace the Speed Sensor and that could solve the problem. The S light used to blink all the time, speedometer stopped working, and at times the car wouldnt even drive, rpms would shoot up when I hit the gas but car wouldn't move.

My real question is how can I check the codes? I heard they have something to do with the S light blinking, but I cant find a answer anywhere. Thank you so much!

Answer
transmission work is vary specialized and difficult if not impossible to diagnose without having the car and equipment with you.the problem you have sound like more than just a speed sensor, but i would take it to a tranny shop to get it checked out.ask around try to find someone who specializes in japanese cars.the problem is a trans a labor to replace it if necessary will be more than the car is worth,on the other hand it could be something simple .sorry i could not be more help.
