Honda: Honda civic ex and dx motor, dx motor, honda civic ex

Question
I have a 93 civic ex.. well my uncle blew the motor and all i can find in my price rang right now is a 95 dx motor none v tec.. well my qustions is can i take the head off my ex and put it on the dx and make it vtec.. well i hope u can answer my qustion...

I'm afraid it's just not that simple Damon.  The car's computer needs to be able to actuate the VTEC.  Did you look for any of Toyota's Twin cam engines?  They have some decent VVTI units (180 HP).  I don't know about the price range though.
