Honda: 2000 civic si engine engine studders at low rpm, bg products, compression engines

Question
Hi, I have a question that I am trying to figure out on my 2000 civic si. After the engine is warmed up (about 20 min.) sometimes in first, second and third gears the engine at low rpms (under 3000rpm)has a hesitation like a slight miss. I replaced the plugs with no cure of the problem. I have rechecked the plugs and they seem to be burning just fine. Someone has mentioned to me that it could be the Cat. converter but that would not make sense to me. Any help would be greatly appreciated. also I have 162,000 miles on the car. Thanks!!

Answer
You may need to check your cap and rotor might as well replace them if its been a while.Check the plug wires with an ohm meter and make sure they re all in acceptable limits. You can also ohm the coil. Also make sure you are buying good gas b16s are fairly high compression engines and can have problems with detonation or preignition. You might also think about using a fuel treatment ,Ive had some success with techron or you may have it done professionally find a shop that uses bg products.buy the way if I could pick a honda besides maybe an s2000 a 99or 2000 si would be it
