Mercedes: Oil, vacuum device, ml 320

Is is ok to change my oil in a ML 320 "08 using a MityVac or vacuum device?

I am unsure how the vac works. If you insert an extraction tub down the dip stick tube to pull the oil out, you should make sure it goes in easily. You also want to know the the dip stick tube is in a position to allow the vacuum tube to reach all the way to the bottom of the pan. You should also remove the oil cap to avoid any possible vacuum being pulled on the internals of the engine.
It is also a good idea to pre-charge the filter canister with clean oil before installing the cap. This will allow oil to flow more rapidly to the crank etc.
You will need to measure the oil quantity removed to keep from over filling when you insert new oil.
