Mitsubishi: car wont start, motor mechanics, power locks

hey,dinger me again i checked all fuses and ok no fuse for the power locks though and head lights work but the pop up motor mechanics part of it don't.still wondering if it could be the ECM i ran out of things to check so ill leave you to judge thanks,Shane

hey,dinger i checked rotor turns and timming belt looks good i pulled a plug and engine has good conbustion and other clues? oh,like i said power locks went out at the same time does the engine ecm control power locks too or just the engine thanks

i have a 92 mistubishi 3000gt base single overhead auto it cranks with no start i getting no spark from coil i replaced coil,cap,rotor,and distributor all new still no spark also noticed power locks are not working and headlights don't pop up and down they use to am i over looking something?help

Hi Shane,

Check all your fuses. Remove the cap, have someone crank the engine and see if the rotor turns. We are checking to make sure the timing belt is still ok. Let me know the results... And we'll take another step.

Yes, it controls the locks through the anti-theft module. Did you check the fuses? The headlights are not on the ECM. I will talk to the boys tomorrow and see what they say. I'll try to have this info back to you around 9am or so, pacific.

LOL Thanks! hehehe well, I have run into this before and found it was the crank sensor. The anti-theft module might be acting up. Do you have the key fob or a way to disarm any factory or after market alarms. Alarms are the number one issue for no start.
