Mitsubishi: My car sucks!, valet mode, correct numbers

Question
I have an anti-theft fuse but there is no anti-theft relay. The friend I got the car from says it doesnt have an alarm he was told about when he bought it, but they didnt give him the original key or key chain either. So to the best of my knowledge- no there is no alarm.

Was there something that could have tripped if I did have one?

Hello Dinger,
Its Cain again. 91 mitsu eclipse 1.8 automatic trans. Well, my new computer came in today. This one was a new/rebuild from the factory. Still no spark. It started and ran fine (minus the dying problem we were trying to fix) until I dropped the fuel tank. I started it, drove it to my garage, dropped the fuel tank, inspected the fuel pump, cleaned the tank and put it all back together. All of a sudden upon replacing the fuel tank, no spark. Thats when I ordered the new comp. since mine was from the junkyard and could have been on its last leg. Now with new comp. still no spark.

So to recap, new comp (of correct numbers), new distributor, new dist. cap, rotor and wires, new plugs, new fuel and air filters. Fuses and fusable links look good. Dropped the fuel tank and now no spark. Was there a switch that could have been tripped while pulling the tank? There is no check engine light. Is there a sensor that can cut the spark before it even starts? I am utterly lost and frustrated with this car, and currently dont have tranportation because of it...

Thank you for all your help as I am sure that all of my questions might bre riding your nerves by now,
Cain

Answer -
Hey Cain, does this car have an ALARM?

Answer
Sometimes, we find here at the shop, that someone has bought a car second hand and the alarm will be in valet mode. When you disconnect the battery it resets to active mode and will not let the car start. Sometimes.

My nerves are ok, just don't know which way to go here. I wish the car was here at my shop and I'd let the boys get it running.
