Nissan: 1994 Nissan Maxima Factory Alarm, answer homework questions, nissan maxima

Question
So what did you mean by this? Do you want the AAA records of the tow for
proof? I sent this questions specficially to you due to your educated and
professional responses in the past to others. In fact you had once discussed
disconnecting a Maxima security system and I just wanted to see if that would
solve my problem and if so how to do it. I know the headlight thing sounds
wierd. I did notice this afternoon that my front right headlight cover is dark
and has a hole in it. Could it cause a static electric thing that is causing the
rest of the car to act up?

Sorry, but I don't answer homework questions..

Your Question was:

My son recently got 1993 Maxima from my sister who has never had any
problems with it. We drove it home and parked it. When trying to start a few
days later it was dead when I turned the key, but the battery was in great
shape. Finally I was setting in the driver?s seat with the key in the ignition and
suddenly the dash lights, clock etc. came one and I turned the key and the car
started right up. I went to pick up my son at work, parked the car and then
again couldn?t get it to start so had it towed home.
Today I did the same thing, entered via the door code, put the key in the
ignition and it ?hummed? under the dash after a few minutes, then the clock
and dash lights came on, and then it let me start it up. I drove, and put the
headlights on, but the second I tried to put on bright lights the car died. I had
to have it towed home again. It seems like the security system is shutting the
car down. Why would we have problems when my sister never had any? What
do you think it could be and how much to fix?
You mention somewhere else that you can just disconnect the secruity
system. How is that done and will that solve my problem. Thanks, Ed Train

Answer
Im not busting your horns. I do this for free but I can only do so much wihtout having the car. The security system has nothing to do with the dash lights coming on. If you sit in the car with the key in the on position and no warning lights come on and the dash is blank then you need to look at your ignition circuit. If all of the dash lights come on and the engine doesnt crank over then you need to look at the alarm system.
