Suzuki: ignition key warning chime, service literature, suzuki esteem

My ignition key warning chime stopped working when the key is left in ignition and the door is opened in my 2001 suzuki esteem.  How can I fix this myself?

Does the interior light go on when you open the door?

The chime is usually actuated by the door switch.  It could be the door switch, if the light no longer lights.

The chime is a replaceable "relay sized unit"

I have no idea where it is, given that all my vehicles are 87 samurais, and that's the only service literature I still retain, having sold the rest, except for a 1.0 liter Metro/Swift.
