Suzuki: 1998 Suzuki Esteem timing issue, temp guage, real diagnosis

Question
QUESTION: I noticed my car leaking oil.  I tracked it down to the Crank seal.  I bought a new timing belt, water pump and a crank seal.  I thought I marked the timing on all marks on the engine.  I replace all the part.  Car started just fine after all parts installed.   My problem is when I drove the car three days later about 3miles , it was OK.  The next day I drove about 2 miles and the car stated back firing and and just stopped.  I can sometimes now start the car in my drive way but very hard to idle.  Once I put in drive, car stalls.   Please help.  I think it may be my timing is off but I thought we made sure the timing was accurate.
Thank You

ANSWER: Before you go trying exotic solutions, go back and verify that the belt hasn't gotten loose and skipped a tooth in timing.  I've had it happen to me.  Nobody's perfect.

QUESTION: Thank you!  I will do this tomorrow.

I have another question.   I had someone charge my AC and it ony blew Hot air out.  The guy told me that it might be my compressor.  Compressors are not cheat and I want to know exactly.  Thanks again

ANSWER: Look at where the belt turns the compressor pulley.  When you turn on the A/C, do ALL of the parts on the face of the compressor rotate?  The only other possible failure mode I can think of is that the expansion valve could be stuck wide open.  A real diagnosis in either case would also require a set of pressure gauges.  With the compressor turning, the high side should be somewhere in the neighborhood of 200-250psi, and the low side roughly 40 psi.

QUESTION: I first start my car and it idles at 1.5 and stays there until about 2-3  minutes. As the car warms up I notice the idle increasing slowly between the 1.5 mark and 2.  It about 5 min mark or so .  The car gets idleing to about 2.0. The temp guage is right in the middle of hot and cold. but the Idle then drops down to 1.5 then goes up to 2.0, up and down, up and down, up and down.  It only does this when I,m in park or neutral.    I have replace the TPS sensor with known good one with no change.  Other information.  I had told you that my check engine light was on but it went out by itself.   this idling problem was happening before I washed my engine then after the check engine light went on.  I have no more check engine light.   the car drives fine and idles fine when Im in drive.   I have also noticed that the car is hard to start.  Some times you can hear a small back fire or something to that extent.  The Idle goes up and down up and down after the car gets warmed up 5-7 min.  Plus I did replace the TPS with a known good sensor that was working in another car.   Thanks for you help!!!

Answer
You've ventured into portions of the control system on a car that I've never even as much as ridden in, much less worked on.  I have no experience with this system at all, an have no understanding of the strategy the system employs.  My area of expertise is Samurai.  Sorry
