QUESTION: Hello. Can I put a 1990 sidekick motor in a 1991 tracker as a straight swap.

ANSWER: If they are both the same motor, that is 8 valve or 16 valve, yes.  If not, you would have to swap the computer and engine harness with the motor, and possibly do a little rewiring, but only a few circuits at the worst.

QUESTION: Thanks for the quick response Scotty. I am also swapping the transmission as well. Looking at the motor there seems to be a few differences with wires and hoses. Also the distributor on the 91 has 3 wires coming out and the 90 only has 2. As far as the computer goes where is it located. Thanks again

you need a wiring diagram.  if you can't get an official Suzuki manual, go to iatn.net, and use the shop finder to find someone in your region, and find out how much they want to print one up from ALLDATA (a service manual subscription service)
