Suzuki: wont take fuel, suzuki samurai, suction side

Question
my 86 Suzuki samurai dies on me when the temperature goes over 110 degrees out side, I live in Arizona. it will not take fuel, if I pour gas in the carb it will start but then dies again, I think maybe the float is sticking, maybe I need a carb cleaning has anyone had this problem?.

Answer
You need to find out if, when it's hot, and it dies, whether the carb is receiving fuel from the pump.  It's possible, since the fuel filter is on the suction side of the pump, that it may be slightly restricted, causing the problem.  Start at the tank and eliminate lines, filter, pump, etc.
