Tips on Buying Cars: Buying a used Volvo XC90, volvo dealership, volvo xc90

Question
I am considering buying a pre-owned 2005 Volvo XC90.  It has 96800 miles. It appears to be in good condition and it is from a Volvo dealership.  CARFAX states it was made in Sweden.  What do you think about a car with that many miles and what ballpark price do you think is fair.

Thanks for the help.

Answer
Hi Gretchen,

I consider Volvo one of the best made cars with an reported average 17 to 18 year life span and have come across many in excess of 300K, but as we both know there can be lemon in every batch, should there be issues mechanical problems will cost above average.

Buying from a Volvo dealership is excellent if a clean history report comes with vehicle, for me to comment on the price,,, can you provide a link to the Volvo or dealership for me to check for red flags ?

Here is a link to my website  http://www.usedcartips.org/fairprice.html  that will help you along as for fair price, study the site for some pointers and feel free to make further contact with specific questions
