Tips on Buying Cars: 1989 Jeep Wrangler, jeep wrangler yj, jeep wrangler

I'm looking at a 1989 Jeep Wrangler YJ Laredo.  It has 47,500 miles on it, 6cyl. auto trans, garage kept, hard top, soft top, no a/c, no cruise, runs well, no rust, great condition for the year model.  Private seller asking $5900.00...is it worth it???  The only thing I can say to justify the price is you don't run across one like this...ever!

Thanks for your question.  The Old Jeep Wrangler YJ's are one in a very few that are in any kind of good condition.  The only thing that I would say is to double check the mileage and make sure that the odometer is still working, and make sure that the odometer hasn't turned over already.  In those older models, the odometer didn't have very many turn wheels to accommodate all of the miles that people put on vehicles, so that odometer might have turned.  Other than that, I would say that the vehicle is definitely worth the price.
