Honda manufactured the Acura Integra but sold it under the Acura name in the United States from 1986 to 2001. The Integra was a mid-size car in the Honda lineup. Many Acura enthusiasts are dissatisfied with the sound of the original equipment manufacturer's horn and choose to replace it.
Remove the bolts and screws that hold on the front bumper with the help of an assistant, if possible. The exact location and types of screws vary by year. The 1998 to 2001 models use a total of 23 bolts and screws to hold on the front bumper.
Locate the original equipment manufacturer's horn. It is behind the front bumper on the driver's side and now should be exposed. Unplug the 1P connector from the horn and remove the mounting bolt with an 8mm socket wrench so that you can remove the original horn.
Mount the new horn using the nuts and washers in the kit. If your kit has two horns (a low tone and a high tone), bolt them to the two middle holes in the front bumper beam.
Connect the 1P connector to the new horn using the original harness if it is compatible with the new horn. Otherwise, you will need to make the connection using a wire crimper/stripper. If you are installing two horns, you will need to make another connection to the second horn using 16-gauge wire and another wiring harness.
Test the new horns to ensure they work.
Re-install the bumper by reversing the procedure you used in Step 1.
