The Kia Rio is a small four-door car with a four-cylinder engine. The taillight lens is the plastic cover that conceals and protects the taillight bulbs. The taillight lens is secured to the frame of the Rio by four screws that are located behind the taillights on the inside of the trunk. You will need only one tool to remove the taillight lens from the frame of the Rio. You can do the entire job at you house in a very short space of time.
Open the trunk of the Kia Rio and remove the trunk lining from the frame by pulling it off the frame with your hand. Twist the tabs that secure the taillight cover to the frame counterclockwise and pull the cover off the frame.
Pull the taillight wiring harness off the light fixture using your hand. Remove the four screws that hold the lens to the frame using the screwdriver.
Push the taillight lens from the inside of the taillight housing using your hand. Pull the lens off the frame with your hands from the outside of the Rio.
