How to Reset the Radio in a 1998 Range Rover

The radio in your 1998 Range Rover powers the speaker system in your vehicle. If you've purchased your Range Rover recently, or you are trying to figure out an easy way to clear all of the presets on the radio, then resetting the radio is probably the easiest method of accomplishing this. When you reset the radio, you'll need to make sure that you have the radio code provided to you by the dealership. Otherwise, once you reset the radio, you won't be able to use it.

  • Open the fuse panel under the steering column by pulling down on the cover with your fingers.

  • Locate the fuse for the radio in the fuse panel. Use the fuse diagram on the underside of the fuse panel if you are having trouble locating the fuse for the radio.

  • Pull the fuse for the radio using the fuse pullers in the fuse panel.

  • Wait for three to five minutes and then replace the fuse.

  • Press the power button on the Range Rover's radio console.

  • Wait for the radio to flash "CODE" on the display screen.

  • Enter the radio code on the Range Rover's numeric keypad on the radio. The radio will now be reset.
