About Fogging Oil

Winterizing the engine of seasonal equipment or a vehicle extends the engine's life.   • When seasonal vehicles and equipment are stored for the off-season, unprotected engine and motor parts become subject to the elements of nature, drastic temperature changes, and inclement weather. This non-usage subjects the parts to condensation and erosion. Fogging oil is designed to keep erosion at bay by providing a protective coating and long-lasting lubrication to the motor parts. Function

  • Fogging oil is applied to the carburetor when it is runs out of fuel. The oil is heavily sprayed into the carburetor as the last fuel burns off, to give it a full coat of protection for winterization. It is also applied, in spray form, to the inner surfaces of the engine's cylinders, to provide an even coat of protection and thereby preventing cylinder damage. In gas engines, fogging oil is sprayed into the air intake as the engine is running, and in diesel engines, it is applied to the intake manifold. This is to ensure that the oil is evenly distributed to those hard-to-reach areas.

Available in spray form, fogging oil can easily be applied to the valve guides, pistons, intake parts, cylinders and rings of power equipment. Fogging oil is designed to protect two- and four-stroke recreational bikes and all-terrain vehicles, hand-held power tools, smaller engines as used in lawn mowers, farming and construction equipment.
