Auto Air Conditioning & Heater Repair: 98 cavalier compressor not turning on, jumper wire, calvalier

Question
I own a 98 2.2l 4 cyl. chevy calvalier, and the air conditioning is blowing hot.  The compressor does not kick on.  I can get to the two wire plug to pull it off, but I can not get in there to put a jumper wire on the compressor to see if it kicks on since the engine is sideways.  Also I can't find the low side to put in a can of die to see where the possible leak is that may have caused the compressor to stop working.  The high side (red) is ontop by the radiator, chilton is no help.  Thanks in advance for any info you can provide.

Answer
The low side valve should be up against the firewall or near the accumulator (receiver/drier). Is there a 2 wire electrical plug plugged into the accumulator ?. If so, Unplug it and with the ignition ON and A/C set to A/C, Disconnect this 2 wire plug and jumper the wire harness terminals together and see if the compressor will now run. If it does you have one of 2 problems:

1. Low freon.

2. faulty switch which is called the PRESSURE CYCLING SWITCH.
