Auto body repair & detailing: Auto painting, professional job, paint shop

Hello,
If you was gonna get a car painted a different color than the one it has, and wanted a good "professional" job thats gonna have at least a 5 year warranty against peeling ect, what price range could you be talking? Just give me an estimate of maybe what someone would charge. And also, how much could be saved if the prep work was done by me before it was painted. Thanks... (I'll never buy another black car).

It would prob. be about $3000. to get a car painted with little or no bodywork in the state of Maine unless you took it to Maaco or some speedy paint shop like that.I do not reccomend that you do the prep work yourself it must be done right.
