Auto Parts: fuses, blown fuse, fuse box

Question
i think i have a blown fuse.Someone hit my car and my dash lights stopped working, turn signalsand tail lights.I fixed the dash and tails but i cant find the turn signal fuse if any im losed please help.

Answer
The turn signals will be on a separate fuse, but it should be in the same fuse box as the other lights, in fact right next to them.  You will need to refer to your owner's manual to determine which fuse does the job.  If you can't find the owner's manual, you could take each fuse out and examine it to see if it has blown.  Replace any that have blown and see what happens.  Another possibility is that the flasher unit for the turn signals has failed.  They have several failure modes, but one of them is no lights at all.  The owner's manual should also show you where the flasher is located, sometimes it is under the hood and sometimes in the fuse box itself.  Take out the flasher and buy a new one at the parts store, they don't cost much.  If that doesn't work, I'd look at those lights that got hit and make sure that there isn't more damage than you thought.  One turn signal bulb shorted out would keep the others from working.
