Auto Parts: I need to understand, input shaft, key pattern

Hello, I want to know when I choose a clutch and a flywheel I should choose it by engine brand or transmission brand ???

Another thing.. Is the A\C Pump same as A\C Compressor ?

choose by engine because that is what it is being attached to. Clutch disc MUST match the key-pattern for the input shaft of the transmission. I have never heard an AC compressor refered to as an AC pump, but I can see how it would be confusing. Now an AIR pump would be a completely different part and you should also have one of those hanging off of the front of your engine. The AIR pump is designed to blast the CatConverter with cold, oxygenated air for better emissions reduction.
