Car Alarms: Auto Mate remote start, google search, remote start

Question
Hi I own a vehicle with an Auto Mate remote start.
It seems that it has disabled my ignition switch. I can only start the vehicle with the remote the key doesn't work anymore. Is there a way to reset the system?  I have even tried unhooking the car battery hoping it would reset but no luck. Nothing has triggered the alarm that I know of....
