Car Alarms: Keyless remote doesnt work for Izuzu Rodeo, dash area, izuzu rodeo

Question
I lost my keys and so used my reserve remote made sure I had fresh batters and the remote worked for my Izuzu Rodeo 1998. A couple of days later it stopped working. I thought it might be the remote so ordered another. I received it and programed with the instructions but it doesn't work. There is no clicking sound.  I am still having to unlock the door with my key, which sets off the alarm. Kinda embarrasing to have to get in and start the car to stop it. Any suggestions?

Answer
Ah, ok, to try to disarm it,
look under the dash area for a button or,
a toggle switch. When you locate it, turn on the
ignition key, press and hold in the button (little
spring loaded micro button, red or black possibly)
until the alarm chirps 1 time. This should over ride
the system, and only the keyless entry part,
if installed, would still be operating.
The LED (light emiting diode) light in the dash
should also go on solid.=VALET/OVERIDE

This stops the alarm except for the keyless
entry if installed. The next step is to
contact the folks you bought the remotes from
and try to get a clearer explaination
to program this particular remote and brain box.

Once in Valet/Override mode, it will allow the car
to start and operate like there was no
alarm at all. Repeat steps to put into user
mode once you can get the remote done.

Let me know how it goes.
