Car Alarms: 1995 Car alarm problem, need assistance please, graduation party, little spring

Hi there, i recently purchased a used 1995 Explorer and it has an alarm system on it, i had accidentally gotten the remote for the car wet and i let it dried out and it started working again and now it does'nt and i have my car at my friends house while i was at his graduation party. I don't know if it's a Factory or Aftermarket. Like the wire from the speaking thing seems like it was installed non-factory but then again i don't know. The problem is it's armed and the alarm keeps going off and it won't start the car unless i disarm it always, how can i turn the alarm off and disarm it so i can start the car and drive it home at least. It was a red led button by the left side of the steering wheel and it blinks 3-4 times a second fast. You press down it goes down like a botton but it does'nt shut off the alarm. Please help me.

Try the right procedure.
turn on the ignition
key, press and hold in the button (little
spring loaded micro button, red or black possibly)
until the alarm chirps 1 time. This should over ride
the system, and only the keyless entry part,
if installed, would still be operating.
The LED (light emiting diode) light in the dash
should also go on solid.

This should be overide. The car should start now.
