Question
have a ford escort 1995. just bought the same identical car for aftermarket reasons.i uninstalled the crime stopper 2004 tw2 alarm on the old on and have to install it on the new one.Camcorded every step EXCEPT. i cut the igntion wire from the steering and the wire comming off the alarm system .I do not know which end after cutting it where it went, DOES THIS MATTER , i am just making sure so i dont mess the alarm brain up due to a wrong hook back up.ill ask again in better english, lol..there is two wires comming off the crimestopper brain that are orange and twirles together, whn cutting the starter wire which orange wire goes to the wire comming out of the ignition and vise versa, or does this not matter?

Answer
The starter kill circuit should not matter.  Depending on how the relay was wired the worse that would happen if you get them backwards is the starter kill circuit would not operate when the alarm is armed.  If you arm the alarm and turn the key to start the car and it starts, you have the wires backwards, if it does not start you are fine.  The only other situation that would dictate you have the wire backwards would be if it were a remote start and in that case when you went to activate the remote start it would not crank over.  But again, all you would have to do is reverse the wire.
