Car Alarms: 90 Dodge Dynasty, dodge dynasty, hood latch

Question
QUESTION: After trying ALL possible combinations: Locking doors with key, locking manually, using elec. door lock switch and trying all combinations to unlock the car will not start.  Manual says to use key to unlock...lock...unlock and alarm should allow starting.  My question is : Can this alarm be removed ? Dismantled?  This car is a "cream of the crop" and don't want to get rid of it.  THANKS!
ANSWER: Please tell me what you are experiencing.

I need to determine whether it's a factory alarm
issue or, if it's an aftermarket system you are
dealing with.

Is it: Headlights flashing, car horn honking
and a worded SECURITY" light in the dash flashing?
Or,
is it: flashing parking lights,
an LED in the dash area, and a siren
going off?

QUESTION: It is factory installed. Sometimes the headlights flash. For some reason the horn stopped blowing.  But the parking lites, sidelites, dash lites flash.  The small "SET" lite on left side of dash sometimes will flash or remain ON till time runs out.  There are contact points under hood (near hood latch) and two on trunk ledge.  Was told there is one on each door.
Can I remove the battery? It needs charged.   The car has been sitting for two months this winter.
Can the system be removed all together? I really don't want it.
Thanks again for your immediate reply.

Answer
Normally, you would insert the key in
the drivers door, turn left, then right
to disarm and reset it. If yours is malfunctioning,
you can disable it for good by doing the following:

The FACTORY ALARM DISARM WIRE IS
LIGHT-GREEN/ORANGE(-) IN THE
DRIVER'S KICK PANEL OR ANTI-THEFT MODULE
ABOVE THE GLOVE BOX AREA.

Once Located, splice into either wire with
a simular guage wire, and put it to
a solid chassis ground. This terminates
the alarm functions entirely.

However, at this point, this car would be exceedingly
easy to steel, so I suggest you get an aftermarket
alarm system to protect it from here on in.

Have a good day.
