CAN i GET A NEW KEYLESS ENTRY FOR THE VAN AND WILL THAT TURN OFF ALARM OR IS THERE ANOTHER WAY? ALREADY SPENT $1700 ON TRANS AND CANT AFFORD TO HAVE IT TOWED TO DEALERSHIP AND PAY THEM. BASICLY ONLY 6 WIRES TO OLD ALARM SYSTEM AND ALL THEM SPLICED IN TO THE FACTORY WIRES ALL HAVE BEEN DISCONNECTED AND NO FACTORY WIRES HAVE BEEN EFFECTED!!!!   PLEASE HELP    THANX

Answer
Hmmmm, well to start, this is a complex factory alarm system
in that the only way to arm and disarm it is by remote.
So the short answer here is yes, with an aftermarket
keyless entry system, you can then arm and arm the factory alarm when you lock and unlock the doors.

Here is the package needed:

1 ASTRA 50 keyless entry= 45.00
2 resistors from the radio shack=3.00
+ 8.00 s&h and that's it.

The wiring chart for the truck is free with the purchase of the keyless system, or 4.99 at www.mywires.com without.

I hope I can help you after you've decided.
