Car Alarms: Remote Start, crown vic, remote start

Question
My remote start seems to stay in gage for a couple of seconds then stops and runs like it suppose to be. Does my 93 crown vic have a tach wire or can I hook it up a different way so that the couple of seconds of extra gaging can stop.

Answer
Make certain that you have the
settings for remote start set up
for "tachless" or smart sensing currently,
or the starter will try to engage until it reads an
RPM rate. If yours is set up for tach right now,
and it's not connected to the tach wire (www.wirewerx.com)
to get the wiring info for this vehicle) then attatch
the tach and make sure the feature settings are
set for tach sensing.

That will correct the starter run on issue.

Good luck with it.
