Car Stereos: 6 Disc CD Player, toyota avalon, disc cd

2000 Toyota Avalon CD player accepts 6 discs and proceeds to makes strange clicking sound than ejects all 6 discs.  Tried several methods to play disc but totally unsuccessful -- disc are ejected.  Could there be a CD stuck in the system which is causing this?  Lent car to friend, they used system and said it worked -- after return of car problem started.  Any suggestions???

If you can put 6 cds in, and it is a 6 disc changer, then there cannot be another one in there.  If you just put one cd in and try it, and it still won't read it, it may need to be removed and repaired.  Many times people get impatient or frustrated and try to hurry pushing in cds.  When this is done, the mechanism can get damaged and quit working properly.  It is surprising that it still excepts and returns your cds.  Many times they like to keep your discs until they are manually removed.  Hope this helps, Scott
