BMW Repair: battery change, clock radio, battery change

hello, i had my 2006 325i battery replaced at sears. do i need to take it and have the car reprogrammed to tell it there is a new battery? I heard this several places and want to know for sure! thanks!

Simple answer,NO.
Other than the clock,radio stations might need reseting.

The diagnostic system on the car only works when the engine is running, so replacing the battery is the same as turning off the key everyday.

Anyone telling you need to, might be trying to take money off you unnecessarily.

Save the money and buy yourself our your loved one's something unexpected!
