GMC Repair: Buick Regal, negative battery cable, power antenna

Question
Hi Jeff
Here is some back up information for you ....92 Buick Regal 3.8l  (1992)

I have changed the altenator,(in hopes it was a diode) changed the battery ( even had it tested) tested all the fuses in the car, fixed a fried and bare fusable link and still when I go out to my car in the morning the battery is dead.  Could it be something as stupid as having to do with my power atenna that never goes down all the way ?

Answer
Roxanne,
Take the negative battery cable off and touch a test light to the negative post of the battery and to the frame or metal part of the vehicle, with  out the ground cable touching anything. If the light does light up then you have something draining your battery. This is when you start pulling fusses one at a time until the light goes out. Make sure you pull one fuse out and then replace it before pulling another. Once the test light goes out then you know what circuit is draing the battery. This is where the fun starts. If by chance the fuse you pull is for the power antenna, then disconnect the antenna and see if the light goes out. Let me know if this helps you or if you need more help. Thank you for your question. Jeff
